They were the sounds that quickened your pulse, that rush of adrenaline that flooded your body at the first chord of what would become timeless hard rock gold. It brought you to your feet, caused your head to bang, your fist to pump in the air, and inspired an air guitar revolution.

The style was flashy. The grooves were sexy. The excess was extreme and the shows were events. The guys wanted to be them. The girls all wanted to be with them. The egos were huge and so was the hair.

But nothing they wore ever eclipsed the music and the attitude. Aggressive in their music. Aggressive in life. The stories were always legendary; the wreckage always huge. They cut a path across pop culture that never knew what to make of it and never recovered from it. It dominated. The mainstream was shell shocked.

The swagger in the giant fat-assed grooves. The soaring guitars of men who became gods, the huge hook choruses, the stadium shaking rock anthems; we loved it all. Put simply, it was a stellar production. Music will never be that fun again.

At its best, rock 'n' roll strikes a delicate balance between artistic purity and sonic havoc. HAMMERD thrives on the uncertainty of rock music's inherent balancing act by defying what music has become and by celebrating how great it has been.

This quartet pack a refreshingly raw, rough and tumble approach to the music. A pack of ruffians? Perhaps – but sometimes the purest form of poetry is shouted from the rumble seat of a runaway hot rod.

HAMMERD is an aggressive, high-energy, audio-visual tribute to the coolest parts of the hard rocking eighties compiled of four of the most genuine, talented, and spirited musicians.

HAMMERD is an experience not to be missed!
